This fireplace below is the one I keep going back to, I like it a lot. I love the door and window nearby with woodwork also. The natural colour and texture of the walls. Modern homes are so lacking when I see pictures like this.
The only thing I would change with this fireplace is the opening. I would make it a bit bigger.
Here is another that I like, but not as much as the first. The colour for me is wrong. I prefer a more tan colour, for warmth and just that it was I prefer really. A fireplace like this would be nice in the family room/kids retreat as it can be closed off.
I also stumbled across this website called Masonry Stone Builders. Wow! Lots of ideas and possibilities there. Of course, I like bits of all of them and would love to combine them into one perfect fireplace.
I can't wait to see how ours will look.
